Avoiding IIIness on Vacation
Having a perfect vacation is something that you’ve dreamed of. You must be planning it for a long time and surely you want to make the best holiday ever. One thing that you should keep in mind before going on vacation is that you need to know enough information on how to avoid holiday illness. Experience some health problems while on vacation can be a nightmare and a big disappointment. Can you imagine all the time and efforts you’ve put for the vacation, just go down the drain because of getting sick. It is very important to ensure that your physical condition and your health are in perfect balance so that you can enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

Most Common Sources of Viruses on Vacation are :
    1. Airplanes
In an airplane, all of the air in the cabin is continually recirculated. Some passengers may bring some kind of germs into the plane, thus they will stick around and slowly spread out through the cabin as the flight progresses.

What to do:

• Wash your hands frequently (every hour or so) using some alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Remember to always keep hand sanitizer in your carry on.

• Drink plenty of water in order to prevent you from dehydration which can lead to a bad immune system. Caffeine and alcohol should be avoided because those substances contribute to dehydration.

2. Hotel Rooms

Viruses can remain for up to 18 hours. If a sick person has recently stayed in your hotel room, there is a chance that the virus may still be in the room when you check in, particularly on faucet handles, remote controls, light switches, telephones and doorknobs.

What to do:

• If the room is not clean enough, what you can only do is wash your hands fre- quently.

• As soon as you check in, leave a window open and then leave your room for a few hours. Hopefully, by the time you go back, the room will be virus free.

4. Diarrhea
• Don’t eat raw vegetables (or other raw food, including salad). Make sure to eat food that is thoroughly cooked.

• Peel fruit yourself before eating

• Choose to drink bottled water (that you open yourself) and canned soft drinks.

• Never drink with ice cubes

6. Sunburn
Always take a frequent break while using the computer. A 2What to do:
• Put on as much sunblock (SPF 30 at least) as you can. You should re-apply regularly all day long.

• If you get sunburned, drink plenty of water and use aloe lotion until the pain passes.

• Use pain killers (ibuprofen or acetaminophen) to relieve discomfort and suffering.

7. Stay healthy
• Use antihistamines or motion sickness disks.
• Drinking green tea and ginger may be helpful.
